RiverScape is a participatory experience for children.
A hyper-real landscape of fabric rocks, logs, river and fish, inviting children to explore and play.
There are many ways they can interact with this imaginary landscape and with each other. Engaging fine and gross motor skills with imagination, children can stack, balance, build, climb, rework and reinvent the landscape.
RiverScape provides hours of open ended physical and tactile engagement.
Materials:
40 metres of lycra fabric
50 realistic fabric rocks
15 fabric log rounds
Vintage fishing basket,
Up-cycled fabric fish with motion sensor led lights
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Site: Works for most sites, outdoor or indoor. Can be installed on grass or hard surface. Flexible dimensions eg: works anywhere from a 4 x 4 metre spiral layout to a 3 x 12 metre long narrow space.
Participants: installed in open space can host unlimited participants.
Set up: 20 minutes set up and 20 minutes pack down.
